The Omaha Chamber Music Society
Reserve Fund
OCMS has established a Reserve Fund to support the longevity and financial security of our organization. Donors may take advantage of customary charitable donation tax deductions, and may also be able to mitigate accumulated capital gains of existing investments. The Reserve Fund is set up to be able to receive donations in many forms, including equities, bonds and other assets.
The Reserve Fund is invested in low-expense equities, index funds and cash
Lead gifts and investment returns have the Fund currently valued at over $70,000
The Fund is separate from our general operating funds, and may only be accessed through recommendation of our Finance Committee and vote of our Board of Directors
We envision being able to allocate earnings from the Fund for special projects and initiatives in our community
While not a formal endowment, the corpus of the Fund may not be accessed, similar to an endowment
